Francis served a distinguished ten-year career in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer, holding numerous leadership and technical roles including Rifleman, Grenadier, Automatic Rifleman, M240 Gun Team Leader, Fire Team Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader, Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Instructor, and Drill Sergeant.

In 2019, while serving as a Fire Team Leader, Francis deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel with the 82nd Airborne Division. In 2022, his unit conducted a rapid deployment to Poland in support of NATO deterrence operations along the eastern border of North Atlantic Treaty Organization territory prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

As a Drill Sergeant, Francis trained and mentored hundreds of new Soldiers during Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, where he instilled discipline, resilience, and technical proficiency in the next generation of infantrymen.

Throughout his military career, Francis led teams through airborne operations, live-fire training events, and overseas deployments while maintaining a flawless safety record across all missions.

His service is distinguished by numerous awards and decorations including the Combat Infantryman Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge. He has also been awarded the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters and “C” Device, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.

While serving on active duty, Francis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government Contracting and Acquisition from American Military University, graduating magna cum laude.

Following his military service, Francis transitioned into the defense industry and now supports defense programs while operating as a Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 certified drone pilot, providing professional aerial imaging and technical support services through Wilson Integrated Solutions LLC.
